All In

I found an autumn leaf you had picked from a tree,
In that parking lot at Green Life
It was pressed between the pages of a Tribute to John Lennon
To commemorate his short life, of music and song
Still can’t believe it’s all gone

I started thinking of your mother and your cousin and of Rosie
And a dinner game with prizes
And it took me to a Christmas white with snow
And a family all-aglow beneath the twinkling lights
When it felt to right
To love with all out might

REFRAIN
When we were All In
With our hope and fears and promises of thick and thin
And so of course it’s hard
To watch the River Card wash it all away again
When you’re All In

Well results don’t lie you would say with a smile
And I guess I do believe it
But there are things that we know when we’re Indigo
And the mind cannot perceive it
That’t what makes it so touch
I can’t cry enough
‘Cause we were All In
With our hope and fears and promises of thick and thin
And so of course it’s hard
To watch the River Card wash it all away again
When you’re All In

Well, you’ve always had a vision of your life and of its mission
And it drives you, like a nail
And I know that on your quest you’ll do your very, very best
Until you can prevail
But don’t forget about joy
And don’t let it destroy

A chance at All In
With your hope and fears and promises of thick and thin
Don’t let a single card ever rob your heart
Of finding love again
When you’re All in

I was All In
